Shankar Marathe - Mumbai, 21 January 2026 : Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has opened up about his much-discussed dream project ‘Mahabharata’, addressing the question of when audiences can finally expect the epic to come to life. Aamir described Mahabharata as an extremely big responsibility, stating that it is not a project that can be made in a hurry or taken lightly.
The actor emphasized that he does not want to deliver substandard work on a subject that holds such deep cultural, historical, and emotional significance for Indians. According to Aamir, whenever he decides to work on Mahabharata, the goal will be to create something that makes every Indian truly feel proud.
He further shared that projects of this scale require immense preparation, the right technology, a strong creative vision, and complete dedication. Until all the elements come together perfectly, he prefers to wait rather than compromise on quality.
